Winter Sowing Native Seed Workshop - Valparaiso Native Plant Group

This will be a hands-on indoor workshop. Winter sowing is a germination method starting native plant seeds in an enclosed container like a milk jug, etc. that will then be stored outside.

Our event is located within the community center at Meridian Woods. Park in either parking lot or on the street.

We will have supplies needed to (special potting soil, native plant seeds, containers, etc.) create at least 2 containers per attendee. Feel free to bring your own supplies if you wish (milk jugs, large clear salad containers, etc.)

We will provide all instruction and support for you to complete your containers from start to finish. This will be a family friendly event.

Arrive any time between 10 and 11:30. There will be a short informational session at 10 but you can start any time through 11:30.

To help offset the cost of supplies, a donation of $5 per container at the event is appreciated but not required. Everyone is welcome regardless of ability to pay.
