Winter Solstice: A day to honour the darkness
20th December 11am - 5pm - Turner Contemporary, Margate
The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year—a powerful threshold between darkness and light. It is a time to pause, turn inward, release what no longer needs to be carried and listen deeply to what is emerging within us.
This immersive day invites you to slow down, reconnect with your body and move, breathe, listen and rest. Through ecstatic dance, breath work, rhythm, ritual and immersive sound, we will journey into the darkness—not as something to fear, but as a place of rest, restoration and possibility.
Come exactly as you are.

2–3pm: Celtic drum journey
A guided drum meditation exploring the ancient cycle of death and rebirth as we journey to find our Winter’s Dream.
3–4.30pm: Sonic sound journey
