What is a Sound Bath Meditation?

A sound bath is a beautiful meditative concert-like experience where one would witness a certified Sound Healing Practitioner play harmonious notes and sounds created by using various musical instruments like Tibetan/Himalayan Singing Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs, Chimes, Harps, Drums and other resonant instruments. While the participant is encouraged to sit or lay down in a comfortable position, a bath of soothing sound waves and healing frequencies will be sent washing over the body, encouraging deep relaxation and the release of any stored tension, stress and anxiety, while stimulating the brain into a meditative state.

What is a Sound Massage?

During the sound bath meditation, Tibetan and Himalayan Singing Bowls will be placed directly on the body and played. The weight of the singing bowls when placed directly on parts of the body when played will send massaging sound vibrations felt throughout the body, releasing energetic, physical and emotional blockages, while shaking out any stored tension held in muscles, joints and vital organs. The massage like sound vibrations and healing frequencies force the body's internal systems to reset, even on a cellular level, promoting deep healing. The 7 Main Chakra Singing Bowls will each be placed on/near the body, on/near the associated chakra, for targeted chakra balancing, activation and clearing.

What is Reiki? What is Crystal Reiki?

Reiki is a hands-on natural healing modality where a certified Reiki Practitioner acts as a conduit between the client and the source of the universal life force energy. The energy flows through the practitioner’s hands to the client. A Reiki treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance, flowing through and around the body. Before every session, Mel Rio channels Reiki into the room, the singing bowls and crystals in order to clear and charge their energy and prepare a "healing environment" for the session. Healing Crystals (semi-precious gemstones) are programmed and charged with Reiki in order to work on the body to balance the chakras and provide mental, emotional and physical support during the session. A personalized Chakra Crystal Healing Body Layout will be created for each attendee during the session, helping to bring the body and its energy centers back to balance and harmony.

Leave a Sound Bath Meditation + Sound Massage + Crystal Reiki Healing session feeling more balanced, centered and relaxed with any pain, tension or anxiety felt before the session greatly reduced. The combination of Reiki and Sound Healing is a powerful method used to attune the mind, body and spirit to higher frequencies and open up the energy channels (chakras and meridians) to flow freely by removing blockages in the body that are caused by stress, anxiety and other emotional and environmental trauma.

This is a full 2 hour intensive healing crystal reiki sound bath and massage session. Not only is every participant receiving a sound therapy and reiki session, each one receives their very own personalized sonic sound massage and chakra balancing crystal body layout. So it's like receiving 3 treatments in one (Sound Therapy + Vibrational Therapy + Crystal Reiki = "Sonic Crystal Reiki" = The Ultimate Energy Healing Experience). By the end of the session, the 7 main energy centers of the body (chakras) will be balanced, improving the flow of energy around the body which promote relaxation, relieve pain, speed healing, and enable connective experiences opening one to more love, compassion, abundance and prosperity.

Each group session will max out at 6 people so that more personal attention can be given to each attendee. Group sessions will remain small to ensure a close, psychologically safe space for healing and to share your journeys. This is not a typical sound bath experience or meditation. This experience is only for those serious about starting their own individual healing journey. In a Sonic Crystal Reiki sound bath, participants will be encouraged to interact with the crystals and singing bowls in order to maximize healing benefits from the session.

No meditation experience is required. All you have to do during the session is just try to relax and be open to receiving the sounds and massaging vibrations made from playing Tibetan Singing Bowls over and on the body and let the Healing Crystals be placed on or near the body. You will be encouraged to either sit or lay down on the floor. Seats are available for those who cannot be on the floor.

Yoga Mats, Rugs, Pillows, Towels, Eye Coverings and Blankets will be provided.

No Walk-Ins. No exceptions. The studio and meditation room have to be prepared for the session in advance. Reservations have to be made in advance in order to attend. Registration Online is the only Guaranteed Reservation. Cancellations and Requests to Reschedule and/or to Transfer Tickets to another date must be received 24 hrs before the session for a refund or transfer request to be accepted. Eventbrite fees are nonrefundable. No Show Attendee tickets will not be refunded/transferred.

Please keep/bring minimal personal belongings. Management will not be responsible for any personal belongings lost or stolen.

All current NYC Covid-19 city guidelines will be followed. Mask mandates are rapidly changing and we are a compassionate crowd! Please bring one, and wear one when appropriate or asked. We will comply with all mandates as they roll out closer to the event date and ask for your cooperation and empathy.

Additionally, exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit. The CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from Coronavirus. Attendees should evaluate their own risk in determining whether to attend. Don't come if you're sick, showing symptoms or if you have been exposed and may be contagious. People who show no symptoms can still spread the Coronavirus. Any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to Coronavirus. By coming to the group sound bath session, you acknowledge and agree that you assume these inherent risks associated with attendance.

All group sessions are video recorded by the Management for safety and insurance purposes. By attending you agree to be video recorded. Management may use copies of the video recordings at their own discretion.
