Winter Solstice Eastbourne Kirtan & Cacao at Yoga Life Studio

We are delighted to announce our Winter Solstice gathering on Saturday 21st December from 7pm - 9pm. This is a time to gather in community and celebrate the shortest day, after which we welcome the days getting longer again. Our dear friend Madeleine who runs From a Small Seed Wellbeing will be joining us to serve beautiful heart-opening plant medicine drinks at the beginning of the evening, offering a choice of Ceremonial Cacao or Rose blend tea.

Both Cacao and Rose have been used since ancient times to nurture, uplift and awaken the senses and offer a gentle yet powerful connection to the sacred energy of the heart. These sacred plants align beautifully with our heart-opening Bhakti yoga practice of kirtan.

Together we will be chanting a number of Sanskrit mantras, mainly from the Hindu tradition, accompanied by Harmonium, drums and guitar.

No experience of singing is needed, just an open mind. It is a non-judgmental space to come and sit, sing if you want to, dance if you want to, or simply be still and listen and feel the sounds and vibrations created.

Madeleine is a certified Cacao Plant Medicine practitioner, space holder and yoga teacher and will serve a supportive gentle dose of Cacao suitable for all bodies and beings made with Ceremonial Cacao, oat milk, cinnamon, ground ginger and maple syrup for sweetness.

She will also have Ceremonial Cacao available to purchase during the evening if you would like to welcome Cacao into your selfcare, spiritual or creative practices at home.

Tickets for this event are £15 plus booking fee (£1.50) including your choice of Cacao or Rose Tea.

Doors will be open from 6:45pm and will close promptly at 7:00pm ready to begin. (Sadly we can not let people in after this time, once we have opened the sacred space, to maintain the energy in the room).
