We are thrilled to host this event in celebration of the Winter Solstice and the transition of the seasons.
The Winter Solstice signifies the longest night of the year and the onset of winter.
This period invites us to turn inward and sow the seeds of our aspirations. It provides a valuable opportunity for reflection and allows us to concentrate on our personal objectives. During this time, we can set our intentions and broaden our perspectives.
The Winter Solstice represents the rebirth of the Sun.
Since the previous Winter Solstice, the Sun has journeyed from its inception to its peak at the Summer Solstice, then gradually waned through autumn, culminating in its disappearance on the darkest night. It is at this moment that the Sun is reborn, initiating a new cycle of life.
At the Winter Solstice, we honor the remarkable Sun: on the darkest night, it is renewed, ushering in a new year filled with life and growth.
The winter solstice marks the start of a new chapter in your life. It signifies a fresh cycle of birth, growth, and death in nature. What will emerge for you this year? What will you cultivate and nurture? What rewards will your efforts bring in the upcoming year?
This event serves as a communal gathering for us to express gratitude and unite in fostering a community rooted in love, integrity, friendship, and respect for traditional practices.
Please BRING with you
1 Dressed (decorated stick) for what you are willing & ready to invite into your life. You can even write a letter to the universe expressing gratitude for everything you have & are open to welcoming into your life & honouring the Ancestors. Attach to decorated stick.
1 plain stick of what you are willing & ready to surrender & release from your life
A rattle or drum – if you do not have either you can make a rattle from an old plastic bottle with rice, beans, seeds etc. in it.
Food to share
Please note this is a non alcohol event.
Recommended donation of £2 or whatever you wish to contribute to cover costs of wood for fire
