Class Size: 6-12 people
Age Requirement: 10 years or older. If younger than 10, an adult must sign up for the class with you and regular rates apply to each individual. Not recommended for children under 7, as we will be working with caustic chemicals.
This fun and interactive workshop focuses on the basics of soap making with a winter twist! You can keep the soap for yourself or give it as beautiful handmade gifts. You will learn about soap safety, different methods of making soap, and some common terms related to soaping. You will then be guided through the steps of cold process soap making to create your very own batch of soap from scratch! This class is designed for beginners who want to learn the process and be creative- no experience necessary.
Price includes a 2 hour workshop, use of all equipment and ingredients, and each participant will take home 5 bars of soap that you create! Please note, your batch of soap will need to harden overnight and will be available for pickup starting the following day. Additionally, the bars need to cure for 4 weeks. This means they’ll need to sit somewhere in your home to harden before use.
Please wear comfortable, older clothing and make sure arms and legs are covered. You are welcome to bring an apron if you’d like. We will be wearing safety glasses and gloves, or you are welcome to bring your own.
