Kerry Kearney is a slide guitar master, plays and works his instrument to limits that amaze even the most seasoned musician or cultured music fan. Kerry Kearney’s style, music from the “Psychedelta”, is his own brand containing an upbeat mix of American Blues & Roots, created from writing and performing on the circuit for over 40 years. Along with his band, he has continued to experience an overwhelming and positive response over the airwaves and especially when performing live. His wailing upbeat style of blues, driven by tasty, inspired guitar riffs, electrifying slide and infectious rhythms, has allowed Kerry to amass a huge loyal following. The sounds Kerry creates from his vintage, stock and custom made guitars are as unique as his song writing and original melodies. In 2013, he and his band mates were each inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame. He has toured nationally and internationally, he is a virtual music encyclopedia.
Dan Doll is a powerhouse blues-rock guitarist, an excellent slide and fingerstyle guitar player and a founding member of the Long Island Fingerstyle Guitar Club. Originally from Portsmouth, NH, he was a well-known guitarist touring with top rock bands throughout the US and Canada. When he stopped touring, he founded two popular blues bands, Curb Service & Dan Doll Demolition, before relocating to New York. He has been blowing audiences away throughout his career with his powerful and passionate guitar licks and unique sound. As a guitarist, Danny tells the Truth with his heart and in doing so makes us all feel a whole lot better.
Over the years, Kane Daily has gained the attention of audiences in local bars and restaurants across Long Island. Growing up in a musical family, he is a true self taught musician. Beginning his career in the late-seventies cover circuit, he was weaned on sixties hard rock and 70’s guitar driven blues/rock sounds. Kane later embraced the Delta-Blues style of guitar playing, including acoustic and slide for which he has become known. In performance and recordings he can be seen and heard occasionally performing with local groups. Additionally, his own trio has performed on stages and venues at festivals among great national and semi national artists. In addition to performing with his own band he has recorded and appeared with Michael Falzarano of Hot Tuna and The New Ryders of the Purple Sage. He has also performed with many local bands including The Kerry Kearney Band and other sensational musicians at tri-state clubs.
Casey Baron has been playing guitar since the age of 8. He developed a passion to build his own custom guitars at the age of 10 after learning about the delta blues and cigar box guitars. Since then, he has continued to build cigar box guitars, solid body guitars, and banjos while making piedmont blues and folk music influenced by the styles of Taj Mahal, Ry Cooder, and Catfish Keith. In October 2013, Crossroads Music Store in Amagansett agreed to sell Casey’s guitars. As it happened, it was the same day that local blues musician, Kerry Kearney, was holding a workshop at Crossroads. It was Casey’s good fortune that Kearney was immediately taken with the young talent he dubbed “The Cigar Box Kid”. Since then, he has been a featured guest at some of Kearney’s shows, as well as having performed at the York Pennsylvania Cigar Box Guitar Festival and My Father’s Place. He represented the Long Island Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee in January.
