Discover the best tips for successful winter seed sowing in containers with the Penn State Master Gardeners of Cumberland County at the Winter Seed Sowing program on Saturday, October 5, 11am-12pm, outdoors at the Adams Ricci Butterfly Garden near the Midway Pavilion at Adams Ricci Park located at 100 E. Penn Drive, Enola, PA 17025.An easy, economical way to increase your number of perennial plants is to start them in plastic containers and allow them to overwinter outside. Learn about this method of plant propagation including seed selection, soil, containers, sowing techniques, and transplant care. Harvest seeds from the Adams Ricci Butterfly Garden to take home!
This event is free to the public and all are welcome.
