🧵 Mark your calendars for our next sewing meet-up!
This one is going to be a little different because we’re meeting in the Rosewood Arts Center art gallery to see the current exhibition.
Artist James Terrell has quilts on display, and Sally Blair has landscape paintings that look remarkably like quilts. It’s a great opportunity to look at textile art from a different perspective and maybe get some inspiration for your own work.
There isn’t really room in the gallery for a buffet-style potluck, so feel free to bring a sack-style meal for yourself. We’ll have tables in the gallery where we can sit, eat and visit.
Want to bring fabric, supplies, patterns or other craft things to give away? Absolutely! We’ll have space for those in my studio at Rosewood, which means you’ll also get a peek inside my actual work studio. 😊
One little rule: please plan to take home anything you bring that doesn’t find a new home.
New to our sewing community? Come anyway! This group is open to anyone who aspires to sew, craft, create or simply learn more. You don’t need to be an expert, and you don’t need to know anyone when you walk in the door. We regularly have new people at our meet-ups, and everyone is friendly.
Come see some art, talk sewing, meet some new people and get inspired. We’d love to have you join us!
