Winter Luminaries: A Handbuilt Ceramics Workshop

Bring a little warmth and light to the winter season in this cozy, hands-on ceramics workshop.

In this 2.5-hour class, you’ll learn the basics of handbuilding with clay as you create your own ceramic winter luminary. You’ll shape and build your vessel, then carve or cut your own designs inspired by snowy nights, evergreen forests, stars, mountains, or whatever winter imagery speaks to you.

No previous ceramics experience is necessary! We’ll guide you through each step, from building your form to adding texture and decorative details. Once your piece is finished and fired, place a candle or small light inside and watch your design glow.

Come spend a slow, creative winter afternoon making something beautiful by hand.

All experience levels welcome. All materials and firing included.

Ages 18+

Max 10 participants / Each registration is for 1 adult

$65 includes: clay, tools, glazes, and other supplies.

Pottery will be ready for pick-up Tuesday, December 8th at Centennial Art Center.
