Winter in the wirra “uncover the magic of nature’s wonderland” is coming in July 20th 2024 FREE FAMILY COMMUNITY EVENT. 9:30am – 11:30am
Parnati - Autumn has begun rather dry this year but we hope that nature will have a rainy display as this truly is the best time to experience the Wirra but we promise there will be mud in many forms to explore. Come along with your gumboots, layers of warm clothing, even a wet weather suit!
Pack in some snacks and a water bottle as the space is designed for families to come and play. Please remember we are a allergy aware site so strictly no nuts and we encourage families to be mindful of how you consume and dispose of food and rubbish on the day.
Our Wirra is a space to give children an opportunity to play in nature, connect, explore and discover freely while a range of activities set up by our team of educators are offered to support emerging curiosity and confidence.
The wirra is a Hectare of space located onsite of Pooraka Community Early Education and Care.
A coffee van will be on-site for purchase – Mrs Sippy
HEALTH AND SAFETY ; If you or your child is unwell we strongly recommend staying home as we all have a responsibility within our community to keep one another safe
2024 will see some minor changes to our FREE FAMILY COMMUNITY EVENT
There will be no wet weather suit hire this year.
No food for purchase on-site (excluding coffee van)
Toilets and Nappy Change facilities are available onsite.

This event is run by volunteer educators from Pooraka Community Early Education and Care, when in attendance families are responsible for supervision and care of their child while on site for the event.
