Winter Family Nature Walk and Sing-A-Ling Music Workshop

Join Sing-A-Ling and the Somer Valley Rediscovered team at the Somer Centre in Midsomer Norton for a Family Nature Walk in Midsomer Norton Town Park, ending with a picnic and music session with Sing-A-Ling in the Somer Centre! This is a fun, educational, and interactive workshop for young children.

A Family Walk which is pram/ buggy/ sling/ carrier friendly and suitable for adventurous little legs, takes you along the appropriate walking paths, please note there is some walking on the cycle path. There will be various stops along the way and activities to engage the senses, such as listening to bird songs, collecting winter leaves, search and find activity sheets all based around nature. We will be walking a circular loop and returning to the Somer Centre for picnic lunch and a Sing-A-Ling workshop.

Free parking in the Somer Centre carpark, plenty of space for prams and toilets with changing facilities. Please bring everything you need for your little ones for the walk, including water and snacks. Refreshments will be provided at lunch.

The activities are most suited for toddlers and children up to the age of 7 but families with older kids are also very welcome.

This is a completely free event but booking is essential. One ticket is required per family, we will email you before the event to confirm how many are in your group.
