This is the perfect class for anyone who loves vintage recipes, cozy winter flavors, and meaningful gatherings. You’ll spend a cozy winter evening with local expert Melissa Austin-Weeks, known for her lifestyle and hospitality blog, Home with a Twist / @homewithatwist. In this comfort food-filled class, Melissa will guide students through how to host a winter evening at home featuring three beloved heirloom recipes — as well as how to keep the level of effort low and level of joy high. You’ll learn tips and tricks for the best ways to host casual and cozy evenings featuring her tried-and-true menu of a rich, filling winter stew; Texas food legend Helen Corbitt’s famous popovers; and a cinnamon-swirled bundt cake to end any evening with nostalgic sweetness.

Melissa’s signature teaching style blends gracious hospitality, intention over perfection, and meaningful memories shared around the table. You’ll enjoy dinner during class and will learn how to build your own “Party Box” to set you up for last-minute hosting success.

Local expert demonstration. You will be served dinner, but you will not be cooking in this class. For ages 13 and up. 21 or older? You’ll enjoy a glass of wine paired with your meal.
