Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or adding to your growing family, this in-person class is designed to help you feel confident and prepared for childbirth and the postpartum period.
What You’ll Learn:
> Nourishing and caring for yourself during pregnancy.
> The essential physiology of birth—what’s really happening with your body.
> Powerful comfort and coping techniques to ease labor.
> Understanding interventions: the pros, cons, and choices available to you.
> Cesarean birth (belly birth): Your options, your rights.
> Preparing for the first few weeks postpartum (a.k.a. the "lying-in" period) so you can rest, recover, and bond with your baby.
> The basics about breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, diapering, and newborn sleep.
> Tips for taking care of your emotional well-being and maintaining a strong relationship with your partner as new parents.

Tailored to the unique needs of expat families, our 4-week course offers a supportive space where you can ask questions, get evidence-based information, and connect with others on the same journey. Led by Johanna, a dedicated English-speaking doula with a background in biomedicine and a passion for supporting international families, you’ll walk away feeling more confident and ready for this exciting new chapter.

About Me: Hi, I’m Johanna, an experienced birth doula and mother, based here in Munich. I’m passionate about helping expat families navigate the beautiful, sometimes overwhelming, experience of childbirth and early parenthood. Through my own journey as a mom and my work in the scientific field, I’ve created a course that combines the latest research with compassionate care.
I’m excited to meet you, share this knowledge, and help you feel more prepared and empowered for your birth and postpartum journey!
