Join us for the second celebration of our 2022-23 season and see how AYO is building a community where music education and performance are valued and shared for youth musicians from kindergarten through college!The concert features the Anchorage Youth Symphony, conducted by Music Director Maestro Bruce Wood, performing works they've studied throughout the winter. It also includes Concerto Competition winner, Ben Liu, piano, performing Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1.
The Concerto Competition is sponsored by a Rose Kapingen Foundation grant and is open to high school juniors and seniors in the Anchorage Youth Symphony. The winner is featured in the AYO Winter Concert and receives a $250 cash prize.
