RSVP Here & Donate: https://givebutter.com/winteradaptationsOn Saturday, January 25th, at 10 AM, join Professor Mike Draney, Biology Professor at UWGB, at Christa McAuliffe Park (3100 Sitka Street). We will walk and talk about why winter is such a difficult time for plants and animals. Attend so that you can see some of the amazing adaptations Wisconsin species have to deal with winter conditions. During the hike you will look for the possible subtle signs of life during the cold half of the year. Be sure to dress for the weather and be prepared to encounter a few hills and unpaved trails. Depending on conditions we recommend hiking spikes for your boots.
This is a family friendly event, and we ask you to please register (free of cost) so we have a general head count. Donations are appreciated so that we can continue to host these great events to get people outdoors!
