About the Anchorage Waldorf School
Anchorage Waldorf School (AWS) is the only non-profit Waldorf educational institution in the State of Alaska. Rooted in Waldorf education pedagogy, we are dedicated to educating the whole child—head, heart, and hands. In Waldorf classrooms, you’ll find storytelling, music, handwork, nature walks, and rich academic learning, all designed to meet the needs of the growing child at each stage. Our programs support the development of resilient, compassionate, and capable young people who go on to enrich their communities.
About AWS Annual Fundraising Gala
This is Anchorage Waldorf School’s premier annual fundraising celebration. Throughout our school, we emphasize serving others, honoring our connection to the Earth, and promoting peace. Based on these values, our school strives to make Waldorf education accessible to all children regardless of economic circumstances, and celebrates the gifts that a diverse community brings to us.
Anchorage Waldorf School holds the distinction of being Alaska’s only nonprofit accredited Waldorf school. We are committed to remaining accessible to any child in the community, regardless of socioeconomic status, through our robust tuition assistance program. This ensures that all families have the opportunity to benefit from a Waldorf education.
The Gala is a key fundraiser that supports tuition assistance, school programming, and the continuation of our arts-integrated, whole-child curriculum.
