Instructor Biographies
Sifu John F. DiVirgilio
Sifu John F. DiVirgilio began training in martial arts in 1974 and has over 52 years of experience. He is widely respected throughout the Wing Chun community for his research, preservation efforts, and deep understanding of the Baat Cham Dao (Wing Chun Double Knives).

Ip Man → Wong Shun Leung → Yeun Yim Keung → Sifu John F. DiVirgilio
Sifu John serves as a leading figure within the Wing Chun Parallel Swords Society, an organization dedicated to the preservation, study, and transmission of the traditional Wing Chun knives system. His instruction combines historical knowledge, technical precision, and practical application, making him one of the foremost authorities on the Baat Cham Dao and Parallel Swords methodology.
Sifu Julio Ferrer
Sifu Julio Ferrer began his martial arts journey in 1973 and has accumulated more than 53 years of training, teaching, and practical experience. He is a senior practitioner of the Leung Sheung branch of Wing Chun and represents the lineage:
Ip Man → Leung Sheung → Ng Wah Sum → Chung Kwok Chow → Sifu Julio Ferrer
Sifu Julio serves as the West Coast Director of Integrative Wing Chun and is known for his ability to connect traditional Wing Chun principles with practical application and modern training methods. His teaching emphasizes structure, timing, sensitivity, efficiency of movement, and functional skill development. Students appreciate his detailed instruction and his commitment to helping practitioners understand not only how techniques work, but why they work.
