Celebrating 50 years since the 1976 Judgment of Paris, the legendary blind tasting that changed the world’s perception of American wines.
About this Event

Join New South Kitchen for a distinguished five-course American Wine Dinner honoring two remarkable milestones: America’s 250th anniversary and the hotel’s 50th anniversary.

The evening unfolds through five courses of modern Southern cuisine, rooted in regional ingredients and enduring traditions then reimagined through a contemporary culinary lens. Each course is thoughtfully paired with exceptional American wines from California, Oregon, Washington and New York’s Finger Lakes.

The evening also commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Judgment of Paris, the celebrated blind tasting in which California wines prevailed over several of France’s most esteemed labels, forever altering the global wine landscape and establishing American wine as a force to be reckoned with.

Together, the cuisine and pairings trace a remarkable American journey through heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation, connecting three defining years: 1776, 1976, and 2026.
