Take a sensory trip to Bordeaux without leaving town in this immersive tasting experience that explores one of the world’s most influential wine regions.
You’ll sample both red and white wines from Bordeaux’s iconic sub-regions – the Left Bank, Right Bank, and Entre-Deux-Mers – each known for distinct expressions of the Bordeaux blend.
With a wine output comparable to all of South Australia, Bordeaux has inspired winemakers across the globe, and this course gives you a front-row seat to discover why.
Guided by an experienced tutor with a passion for the region, you’ll learn how Bordeaux’s rich history, unique terroir, and winemaking traditions shape the wines you’ll taste.
Along the way, you’ll be introduced to a simple method of wine evaluation, helping you better understand grape varieties, production techniques, and value for money.
Perfect for curious beginners or seasoned wine lovers, this course offers a friendly and informative way to deepen your appreciation of Bordeaux and its global legacy.
Over the course of three hours, you’ll taste three wines per hour – equivalent to one standard drink per hour. While this is generally considered a moderate pace, it’s important to understand that everyone metabolises alcohol differently, and individual tolerance levels can vary.
Please note that participants must be aged 18 or over to attend this course.
