WINEATHON™ The Ultimate Wine Endurance Challenge
About this Event
Participants compete in an endurance wine challenge until only one contestant remains. The last man or woman wining will be crowned the Wineathon Champion and will win a 2026 Sesame Carnival Frontline or Backline Costume.
The event also features audience participation, merchandise sales, food, entertainment, and sponsorship opportunities, creating an exciting experience for competitors and spectators alike.
Competition Format
Contestants must continuously wine while volunteer DJs play a variety of music, including Soca, Dancehall, Afrobeats, Reggae, Hip-Hop, R&B, Latin, Throwbacks, and both slow and fast-paced selections.
Competition Rules
Contestants will be eliminated if they:
• Stop wining
• Sit or lean for support
• Leave the competition area
• Take a bathroom break
• Arrive after the official start time
• Fail to follow instructions from judges or event officials.
Judges & Competition Officials
Five (5) official judges will continuously circulate around the dance floor to monitor contestants, enforce the rules, confirm eliminations, ensure fairness, and assist with the final tie-breaker if necessary. The judges decisions will be final.
Hydration & Safety
Volunteers will provide water to contestants while they continue dancing.Participants may voluntarily withdraw from the competition if needed.
Tie-Breaker
If there is a tie, the remaining contestants will compete in a Strong Knee Wine Down. The last contestant remaining will be crowned the Wineathon Champion.
Spectator Challenge
Supporters will have the opportunity to select the contestant they believe will win by contributing at one of the following levels:
• $5
• $10
• $15
• $20
• $25
If their selected contestant wins the competition, the supporter will receive the prize basket corresponding to their contribution level.
Merchandise
Wineathon™ T-Shirts and Crop Tops will be available for a $25 donation.
