Tybee Post Theater is proud to present “The Woman Who Spilled Words All Over Herself,” Savannah literary legend Rosemary Daniell.
Join us for an afternoon of wine, women, words – and yes – song, to honor Rosemary Daniell’s prolific writing career and her impact on countless writers. She will be introduced by Bruce Feiler, author of 15 books and seven New York Times bestsellers, including Life is in the Transitions, The Secrets of Happy Families, and Council of Dads.
Your ticket includes access to the wonderful event, a complimentary drink, a fun goodie bag, and sweets! All ticket sales will go toward Tybee Post Theater’s fundraising efforts.
Rosemary, the award-winning author of 10 books of poetry and prose and widely known as one of the best writing teachers in the country, will recount the origins of Zona Rosa, a writing workshop started for women (and some brave men) 41 years ago in Savannah. Since then, she has led Zona Rosa workshops all over the country and in Europe, and more than 400 Zona Rosans and counting have become published authors. (Indeed, two of her books are about Zona Rosa.) Also, for the past 22 summers, she has led week-long Zona Rosa writing retreats on Tybee Island, which have been attended by women from all over the U.S. and sometimes Europe.
In addition to Rosemary, several of her “Stars in the Zona Rosa” will discuss the impact Rosemary and the writing program had on them and read from their published works, including Tybee author Kathleen McGuire, aka Maggie Redmon, author of Trials of a Dead Lawyer’s Wife: A True Story, and will conclude with with a Q & A, and music from “Zona Rosa the Musical."
