Wine Tasting with the Gothenburg Committee of CSCI

The Gothenburg Committee of CSCI invites you to a wine tasting and delicious Swedish eats with Sommelier Maria Scharffenberg, educated and certified at the Europäische Sommelier Schule in Germany.

For $30, you can enjoy a wine presentation, tasting and heavy appetizers from Tre Kronor. This is the perfect event for wine lovers, foodies and people who want to get a glimpse of Swedish culture and heritage.

Maria Scharffenberg's Bio

Sommelier Maria Scharffenberg is from Sweden, but has lived in both Austria, Germany, The Netherlands and is currently living in Canada. She is a teacher of the European School for Sommelier (the international sommelier school, currently present in 17 different countries). Sommelier Maria also trains sommeliers, hold courses for different levels and conduct seminars and events as well as certifies new sommeliers. In addition to education, training and didactic planning, she organizes and participates in different events. She is also a regular member of the jury for different international wine competitions. She is a native Swedish speaker, but also speaks English and conversational German.
