Wine Pairing Wednesday is Wednesday, June 10. Social gathering begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The cost is $60 per person and RSVP is required by Monday, June 8, 5 p.m. Please RSVP to the BVC Administration Office at 641-684-7000 or [email protected]. The Bridge View Center is located at 102 Church Street, Ottumwa, Iowa.Wines are presented by Dimitri Wine & Spirits Vice President & General Sales Manager, Thomas A. Mason IV, from Davenport, Iowa.
“This trio of French wines offers a beautifully balanced journey through France’s most beloved styles," Mason said. "The 1749 France Sauvignon Blanc delivers bright citrus, crisp minerality and refreshing energy—perfect for those who love a clean, elegant white. The Baron des Chartron Bordeaux adds depth and sophistication with its smooth tannins, dark fruit and classic Left Bank character, offering a refined red that pairs effortlessly with hearty dishes. To complete the experience, Rosé All Day brings a vibrant, Provence‑style rosé that’s light, playful and endlessly drinkable. Together, these wines create a versatile lineup that suits any palate and any occasion—fresh, structured and delightfully easy to enjoy.”
The following is Executive Chef Adam Hunt’s planned three course menu:
Starter
Classic French Salad with Dijon Vinaigrette and Baguettes served with European Butter. Paired with 1749 France Sauvignon Blanc.
Main Entrée
Duck Confit, Dauphinoise Potatoes and Spring Vegetables. Paired with Baron Des Chartrons Bordeaux 2019.
Dessert
Apple Tart with Crème Anglaise. Paired with Rosè All Day (always your way).
