Wine Flight Tasting: Mel's Vin Voyage

Celebrate the arrival of summer and explore different French wine varietals, perfectly suited for enjoying beachside or alongside a delightful meal. Join us for the exclusive launch of our newest wine flight - Mel's Vin Voyage, exclusively curated by Miami’s top foodie influencer - Always Hungry Mel, also known as Melissa Marerro Rodriguez, at Sospiro Natural Wine Bar on Thursday, May 16 at 7 p.m.
Available through July, Mel’s Vin Voyage flight showcases a trio of refined and dynamic options: a dry and crisp white; a mesmerizing copper-hued blend consisting primarily of Marsanne, and an elegant Pinot Noir.
This informative and interactive soiree will be hosted by owner Fabrizio Gallina and Melissa Marerro Rodriguez. Learn more about the natural wines selected for the flight while enjoying the selections with bites from Sospiro's Mediterranean menu.

• Armorica - Armorica IGP Val de Loire - Based on the dry and crisp whites wines that are chilled on the beach during the Breton summers, Armorica is a seaside wine that combines the minerality and saline qualities of the Atlantic with the florality of Brittany’s wildflower meadows. It grows on the volcanic soil of southern historical Brittany in the middle of Muscadet, and as such, is a low alcohol, zero sugar white wine of delicious crispness and verve.
• Domaine de Courbissac l'Orange, Vin de France 2022 - Reinhard Brundig, a successful film producer from Germany, founded Domaine de Courbissac in 2002. As the name suggests, L’Orange is not the typical Mediterranean white but copper-colored wine made from a blend of about 70% Marsanne, 15% Muscat, and the remainder Carignan Blanc, Terret, and Grenache Gris, and some other unidentified white varieties. These varieties are co-planted in limestone-rich soils alongside some Grenache and Carignan in typical Mediterranean fashion.
• Maison De La Denante 2022 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, France - A very good Bourgogne Pinot Noir with medium intense flavor notes of red chrry, cranberry, raspberry, and subtle notes of mushroom and forest flower.
