Wine Dinner with Avignonesi

Terra, Eataly's rooftop restaurant, invites Italian producers to host Wine Dinners several times throughout the year. Our Eatalian chefs and hosts collaborate to curate an exclusive menu dedicated to the evening.

Prepare to indulge in a night of luxury, flavor, and fine wines. We are thrilled to invite you to a Wine Dinner like no other, where every sip and every bite will transport you to the heart of Tuscany.

Avignonesi’s vineyards spread across the picturesque rolling hills of the southeast corner of Tuscany. Avignonesi also owns a vineyard in the neighbouring municipality of Cortona. It is a benefit company and is now a certified B Corporation, part of a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.

After a few years as a silent partner, the Belgian Virginie Saverys took over the prestigious winery in 2009. She was a consumer, and overnight she became a producer. This crossing of the mirror motivated Saverys to undertake a radical regeneration of the winery. Safety at work, pollution and climate became Avignonesi’s primary concerns. Out of respect for workers, consumers and the environment, she has banned highly toxic synthetic biocides that poison life, and pollute the soil, the air and the water. Concurrently, she has forbidden the use of commercial yeasts, dyes, enzymes, tannins and other industrial adjuvants in the cellar.

Avignonesi is pursuing an energy transition policy to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions drastically. The weight of its bottles has been reduced, and the packaging is now eco-friendly. It pledges to preserve life and a greater transparency. Hence the motto “Life through a glass”. Sangiovese, the king grape of Tuscany, accounts for the bulk of the 175 hectares of vineyards. International varieties are also present but mainly in Cortona.

This intimate evening will offer an opportunity to explore the unique characteristics of these wines, expertly paired with a gourmet dinner designed to enhance every note and nuance of the Avignonesi collection.

When: 6:30pm, Dinner Begins

Where: Terra, Inspired by earth & fire, Terra centers around a wood-burning grill, with seasonal ingredients cooked over burning flames.

What: Decedant six-course meal carefully curated by Eataly Los Angeles' Head Chef, Alberto Bertoncin.

• One ticket purchase is valid for one guest.
• This experience will take place at Terra in our cellar private dining room on Eataly’s 5th floor. If ticket sales exceed 12 guests, it will be relocated to a larger space at Terra.
• This is a 21+ only event. All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce a valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older.
• Gratuity is NOT INCLUDED. Tickets are subject to Los Angeles sales tax.
