Description
Join us for a one-of-a-kind wine dinner with Bodegas Emilio Moro, one of the oldest leading quality producers in Ribera del Duero, Spain. We will begin your evening on our patio around our giant paella pan where you will enjoy light tapas and Spanish cheeses with your first glass of wine. Our expert chefs will showcase the process for making paella after which we will move indoors to continue the dinner and where you will enjoy selections from Emilio Moro to pair with each course. Joining us will be Juan López Sainz, US Sales Manager of Bodegas Emilio Moro. Beginning his journey with the Moro family, Juan started in the vineyards. This hands-on experience provided Juan with an intimate understanding of the winemaking process, from grape to bottle. Over the years, Juan has cultivated a strong and mutually respectful relationship with the Moro family. Through their guidance and mentorship, he has gained invaluable insights into the artistry and tradition that underpin Bodegas Emilio Moro's world-class wines.
For ages 21 and older.
ABOUT BODEGAS EMILIO MORO
Bodegas Emilio Moro is one of the oldest leading quality producers in Ribera del Duero. The history of the family goes back three generations to 1891. The first generation Emilio Moro was born in a viticulture environment surrounded by vineyards and grew up treading grapes and racking wine in the village of Pesquera de Duero, in the province of Valladolid. The vineyards were grafted with the purest clone of Tinto Fino, commonly known as Tempranillo, recovered from the oldest vineyards that the family owns, Valderramiro and Resalso. Currently the family owns more than 200 hectares. They are located between 2,400 to 3,000 feet of elevation. The third generation led the newest project of the family when they were looking to the area within Spain capable of producing the best white wine. They settled in Bierzo in 2016 and have been making wines there with Godello variety ever since.
