Wine & Weave
About this Event
Spend an afternoon slowing down, learning a timeless craft, and creating something useful and beautiful by hand.
Join textile artist Camisha Butler for an introduction to the fundamentals of weaving using a tabletop/lap loom. Designed for complete beginners, this hands-on workshop will guide you through the weaving process from start to finish as you create your own handmade unique coaster set to take home.
Throughout the afternoon, enjoy wine from a Black-owned winery, a grazing board of snacks and treats with curated sounds by DJ Ray Anderson, Jr. in the inspiring atmosphere of Tropical Express, a vibrant West Midtown plant showroom that also features a photo set and the boutique record shop Vinyl Paradise.
Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, unwind creatively, or spend a thoughtful afternoon with friends, Weave & Wine offers a welcoming space to connect with craft, music, and community.
