Level 3 Award in Wines Overview:This advanced course provides a comprehensive look at the world of wines with an intense focus on systematically and professionally tasting wines. In-depth lectures and discussions covering wines of the world are designed to give a thorough understanding of the principal wines of the world and their commercial importance.
The course covers the major grapes and wine styles produced around the world, including what influences the style and quality of these wines and the prices procured for them. In addition, this course will develop to a high-level your ability to describe wine accurately, and account in detail for the style, quality, and price of wines. Our experienced educators will assist you to develop your analytic tasting abilities through a carefully selected series of more than 80 wine samples.
This course is recommended for those who have earned the Level II Certificate, or have a good foundation of wine knowledge. Successful candidates receive the Level III Certificate of the WSET.
