Most people put their wine preferences in a box – they say they like sparkling and white wines, or they lean towards red wines (most of which are served at warmer temperatures). But this little-known varietal has the best parts of them all! Lambrusco is a classic Italian wine, made from red wine grapes, but also sparkling and served chilled. Some are sweeter, while others keep their tannic backbone, with the slight hint of dark fruits that ‘red’ drinkers are accustomed to. So come indulge in this Italian summertime staple before the autumn chill finds us here in the DMV!
