Wine 101 Workshop
Join us for a three-hour Wine 101 workshop designed to make wine approachable, fun, and unforgettable. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with a complimentary pour and a chance to mingle with your classmates before diving into the heart of the session.
Over the next 90 minutes, wine professional Sofia Rodriguez will guide you through an interactive workshop covering:
- 4th Grade Biology Refresher – What is wine actually made of?
- Styles of Wine: A Rosé by Any Other Name – Understanding color, method, and style.
- How to Read a Wine Label. What, like it’s hard? – Demystifying the fine print.
- Mythbusters: Wine Pairing Edition – Breaking down the “rules” of pairing.
- Let’s Assess – Learning the basics of tasting and evaluating wine.
The session will close with an open Q&A, giving you the opportunity to ask all your burning wine questions in a supportive, curiosity-driven environment.
This workshop is led by Sofia Rodriguez of Sans Fronteras who is a Level 3 WSET professional based in Seattle, WA, committed to democratizing wine and making it accessible to all. Sofia brings a wealth of perspective and recognition through her leadership and mentorship experiences, including:
