Respighi's Church Windows opens the concert with breathtaking orchestral color inspired by the beauty of stained-glass windows. Soprano Catherine Creed then joins the orchestra for Mozart's joyful Exsultate, jubilate, culminating in its dazzling and beloved "Alleluia."
The evening concludes with Francis Poulenc's magnificent Gloria, featuring the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus, soprano, and orchestra in a work that is both reverent and exuberant.
