When you press “send” on your college application, what happens next?

Many colleges decide which students to admit by meeting as a committe to discuss each applicant. How does that work? How do they decide? Get some insight into college admissions in this mock admissions exercise, where you get to put yourself in the shoes of an admissions officer and consider student applications and make decisions. This will help students getting ready to apply to college, but it can even provide insight to younger students, who might wonder how their high school activities and experiences prepare them for college.

The Workshop will be led by Phoebe Blaisdell, Admissions Officer at Pomona College. Phoebe is coming all the way to Palouse to meet area students! She will also tell you about Pomona, one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country located in Claremont, California., and the consortium of schools to which Pomona belongs.
