Window Keepers Writing Workshop

Join us for a special writing workshop at the Declaration House, in partnership with the PA Humanities initiative, led by Writers Room Teaching Artist Ms. Carol Richardson McCullough.

Inspired by Philadelphia Poet Laureate Yolanda Wisher's poem , this workshop invites community members to explore the history, ideals, contradictions, and evolving meaning of American democracy through conversation, writing, and reflection.

With guided discussion and creative responses, participants will engage with questions about freedom, justice, civic responsibility, and the future of democracy while connecting personal experiences to broader civic themes.

We are so honored and thrilled to lead this workshop on the site where the Declaration of Independence was written, 250 years ago! Thank you to the National Park Service for making that possible.

Join us as we create space for thoughtful dialogue, shared learning, and community reflection. Free and open to all, the space has a maximum capacity of 25. RSVPs are required.
