In this class you will learn to set up and use a hand plane to make a pair of winding sticks and then learn to use the winding sticks you have made to flatten and straighten boards without a jointer, ear plugs and a dust mask. At the same time you will get to enjoy working wood with hand tools and being in close contact with your work while listening to the music of a sharp blade slicing through the wood and enjoying the smell of freshly cut timber. Whether for fun or profit the goal of this class is to help you raise your woodworking skills and enjoyment to a new level as you learn to engage all your senses (except maybe taste) and work in harmony with the wood you use in your projects.
