All children are precious to God. The Bible says in Psalm 127:3, “Children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.” The word “heritage” implies that every child on earth is God’s gift, not a product of human effort. In the New Testament, the Lord Jesus strongly rebuked His disciples from obstructing those who bring their children to him so that He may lay His hands on them and pray for them.
Jesus said to His disciples, “Let the children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14). This verse is a loving reminder how much Jesus values every child and how every children are dear to the heart of the Heavenly Father.
This year, the WORD International Ministries (WIN) - Stavanger, Norway, will hold its 13th year anniversary with the theme, “The Little Children and the Kingdom of God” to honor God, the life-giving God, who showed Himself faithful across all generations. It is with great joy for all of us at WIN church to have this special event this year where we get to celebrate God’s unfailing love through the lives of children and those whom God called to parent them. But surely it is more joyful and exciting when our family and friends will be there to join us.
