The event is facilitated by highly accomplished breathwork coach and Adelaide’s only certified Wim Hof Method instructor, Kym Burls, who has been teaching people since 2019.


No previous experience is necessary. You don’t need to be an athlete and you don't need to have taken a cold plunge or ice bath before. At these events +1,200 people have discovered that they can do far more than they believed possible, and I know you will too!

About the location:

Plunge Recovery is Adelaide’s premiere recovery & wellness center, taking a science-backed and holistic approach towards wellbeing.

They offer four spacious, deep & pristine mineral plunge pools, in varying temperatures, allowing for the ultimate benefits of hot & cold water contrast hydrotherapy.

They also have two spacious 5-person infrared saunas, using the latest near & far infrared wavelength energy to gently & directly warm your body.

All of which we’ll be taking full advantage of on the day!


*Rest assured the cold plunge will be cold (I’ve tested it myself)!

The workshop is suitable for everyone 18 years and over, regardless of your current level of fitness or confidence.

Out of precaution, we advise against participation during pregnancy (or breastfeeding), or if you are epileptic.

People with cardiovascular issues, or any other serious health conditions (e.g. high blood pressure, COPD) or those with Raynaud's disease (Type 2) or cold urticaria should always get in touch with the instructor and consult a medical professional before signing up. If you have specific questions relating to your condition, please contact your instructor beforehand.

About the facilitator:

Kym Burls

Kym is a highly accomplished breathwork coach and certified Level 2 Wim Hof Method instructor based in Adelaide, South Australia who’s passionate about sharing the influence improved breathing can have on our lives.

He's learned the Wim Hof Method directly from Wim himself, and taught alongside Wim and some of the most senior Instructors, including at the Winter Expedition in Poland. When he’s not teaching he enjoys keeping fit and mobile through CrossFit, muay thai and the odd run and yoga session.
