WAG (Wilson Art & Garden) is having their 3rd annual Chili Cook-Off. They welcome all to participate in cooking or judging the best chili prepared in Tempe. Any attendee who does not cook is welcome to judge and you will be given a scorecard. Side dishes are welcome to compliment the chili.
If you are planning to cook, please email [email protected] and indicate which of the following options:
Traditional Chili (No Beans)
Non-Traditional Chili (With Beans, International, etc.)
Vegan Chili
**Gold medalists will be crowned for each type of chili.
There is a $10 entry fee. Proceeds benefit the Wilson Ellertson Community Garden. They will have a live DJ to keep the party live and upbeat.
Please help spread the word!
WAG is committed to making their Chili Cook-Off event as sustainable as possible including:
* Biodegradable plates and cups
* Spoons, forks, and bowls from their own collection that will be put in the dishwasher afterward
* Washable cloth napkins
You are encouraged to bring your own fabulous chili in a crock pot. You will be able to plug it into existing electrical outlets. Be sure to bring the electrical cord with your crock pot!
Bring a chair as there will be limited seating. There will be tables for serving and eating.
* If you're coming to sample the chili choices, you will be given a ballot to vote for your favorite "Chili Chef". Yes, chefs can vote, too.
