Wilmington Youth Jazz Band Spring Session

We are a non-profit organization that was founded in 2004 by Wilmington’s own Fostina Dixon-Kilgoe. Fostina was awarded a grant as an alumnus of Berklee College of Music to launch this program.

Our mission is to expose, educate and culturally enrich students through learning jazz music in an effort to maintain and expand jazz throughout our communities. This effort reaches youth from economical and culturally diverse backgrounds.

Tuition Fee: Fall season = $220. Multi-student family discount may apply.

Register by 09/20/2023.

$50.00 is due at the time of registration with the remainder due the week prior to the start of the season.

*Payment Plans & Scholarships Available.

The Wilmington Youth Jazz Band does not turn students away due to inability to pay. If your child is eligible for a free or reduced school lunch program, please indicate this in your registration and our registrar will be in touch.

By registering for the Wilmington Youth Jazz Band, you agree to following release:

I hereby grant the Wilmington Youth Jazz Band permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration.

I understand and agree that all photos will become the property of the Wilmington Youth Jazz Band and will not be returned.

I hereby irrevocably authorize the Wilmington Youth Jazz Band to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo.

I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge the Wilmington Youth Jazz Band from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.

I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE PHOTO RELEASE. I AFFIRM THAT I AM AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE, OR, IF I AM UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE, I HAVE OBTAINED THE REQUIRED CONSENT OF MY PARENTS/GUARDIANS AS EVIDENCED BY THEIR REGISTRATION BELOW.
