Colombian soprano Wilma Rueda and Taiwanese pianist Ching Fen Lee present this musical journey featuring songs from Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, and Mexico interspaced with piano solos.Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Wilma Rueda studied law at the renowned Santo Tomas University in Bogotá and also attended the well-known music academy in Bogotá, where she graduated as the best student. After receiving a grant from the Colombian government, she decided to focus on her musical studies, completing a three-year postgraduate course at the Musikhochschule in Germany. Career milestones include a concert at the Altenberg Cathedral in Cologne as well as appearances with the symphony orchestra of Palma de Gran Canaria, the international symphony orchestra in India, the chamber orchestra Rhine-Victory in Rhöndorf, Germany and at the opera in Zurich, Switzerland.
Born in Taiwan, Ching-Fen Lee regularly gives solo piano recitals at home and abroad, including at the Gulanyu Music Hall in China and as part of the Young Artists Program at the National Recital Hall in Taiwan. In addition to her numerous solo activities, Ching-Fen Lee is very dedicated to chamber music.
