Willow Plant Support Workshop
Led by Jools Hopton of Nature’s Jewels, alongside Jules from Where Inspiration Blooms, this much-loved workshop offers a wonderfully calming introduction to working with natural materials. It’s a chance to slow down, work with your hands, and enjoy the simple rhythm of weaving outdoors in the height of summer.
During the session, you’ll learn how to create your own willow plant support — both beautiful and practical, perfect for supporting taller garden flowers and adding a handcrafted touch to your outdoor space.
There’s something deeply grounding about working with willow. As the structure gradually takes shape beneath your hands, the process becomes quietly absorbing and surprisingly meditative. Jools carefully prepares all of the willow beforehand, selecting and soaking each piece so that everything is ready for you to simply arrive and begin.
Whether you’re completely new to willow weaving or simply looking for a creative way to spend a few hours, this workshop is designed to feel relaxed, welcoming, and enjoyable from the very beginning.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with your own handmade garden support, along with the satisfaction of having created something both useful and beautiful.
