About this Event

Amanda Babington (musette, violin, recorder), Clare Babington (cello) and David Smith (harpsichord, recorder) present a varied and entertaining programme of music which would have entertained the French monarchs a couple of generations before the time of William Shield. The musette is a sophisticated type of bagpipe which came into popularity in court circles during and after the time of Louis XIV, who died in 1715.
