But of course, as the saying goes, the course of true love never does run smooth, especially when a spiteful, resentful villain plots to sabotage the upcoming wedding and cause havoc!
Luckily the stalwart, if a little incompetent, forces of law and order are on hand in the shape of Dogberry, Verges and the Watch.
This classic comedy explores the themes of love, honour, trust and shame and asks the question what happens when a little bit of 'nothing' (rumour) causes a lot of fuss?
