Two Saturday morning painting workshops at the Albany Museum of Art will give participants the opportunity to explore the shapes, colors, and symbolism employed by renowned American artist William H. Johnson.The workshops will be taught by Michael Mallard, associate professor of visual art in the College of Arts and Sciences at Albany State University.
“Fighters for Freedom: William H. Johnson Picturing Justice,” now on exhibition in the AMA’s Haley Gallery, is organized by the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Generous support for this project is provided by Art Bridges.
COST PER SESSION: $15 for AMA members; $20 for future members.
