The 29th Annual Wildlife Weekend, sponsored by the Bristol Tennessee Department of Parks & Recreation and Friends of Steele Creek Nature Center and Park, will be held on October 9th and 10th. The theme for this year's event is Prehistoric Appalachia.
The two-day event kicks off with the debut of the “Prehistoric Appalachia” documentary on Friday evening (October 9).
The celebration continues the next day, Saturday, Oct. 10, with hikes, walks, interactive kiosks, crafts, a scavenger hunt, educational presentations, and other kid-friendly activities throughout the day. Start your morning with hikes starting at 9 a.m. and stay for a day of family fun, featuring educational kiosks, crafts, walks, and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
