Wildlife Tree Ornaments Workshop for Youth

Youth ages 5-18 are invited to join the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Cumberland County for the Wildlife Tree Ornaments Workshop for Youth on Saturday, November 14, 2026, 10am-12pm. The workshop will be held indoors at the Cumberland County Allen Road Building located at 310 Allen Road, Carlisle, PA 17013. Please park and use the front building entrance accessible from Allen Road.
Create a variety of feeders and natural ornaments to take home to decorate outdoor trees while supporting local wildlife. Projects include a dried fruit heart ornament, apple birdseed feeder, birdseed star ornament, pumpkin birdseed feeder, pinecone ball ornament, and birdseed loofah feeder. Visit the wildlife habitat observation station and learn about winter bird feeding.
Come any time during the workshop hours to create one or all the projects offered. No peanut or tree nut products will be used. All project supplies are included in the $15 registration fee per youth. Preregistration is required online at https://extension.psu.edu/wildlife-tree-ornaments-workshop-for-youth by Thursday, November 12. A parent or guardian must attend with each registered youth.
