In this class, we’ll explore the joy of painting loose, expressive wildflowers using gouache. Inspired by simple botanical forms and natural color palettes, you’ll learn how to build flowers with confident brushstrokes, layered shapes, and playful mark-making—no perfection required.
The class includes four step-by-step demonstrations, each focused on a different wildflower. You’ll see how to create variety through petal shapes, stems, leaves, and color mixing, while learning how gouache’s opaque, matte qualities make it perfect for bold yet delicate floral studies.
This class is ideal for beginners and experienced painters alike who want to loosen up, build confidence with gouache, and create charming floral paintings that celebrate simplicity and observation.
