The Literature Department at Parkway Central Library invites you to a preview of Philadelphia Theatre Company’s upcoming world premier production of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright James Ijames' . You’ll also hear from Ijames himself, Philadelphia Poet Laureate Raina J. León, and Josh A. Campbell - Philadelphia Theatre Company’s Dale and Richard Levy Director of Education and Public Programs. Topics include creativity, writing, Black literature, and preserving family stories.
Wilderness Generation synopsis
Three cousins reunite at their grandmother's house in the Tidewater South for a weekend of laughter and memories. When their estranged cousin arrives, long-held secrets collide, leading to a confrontation in which each cousin must decide if they are going to continue to fight or choose a path of healing.
