WILD SKIN with Flow Vulk (UK)Gabrielle Roth’s body of work is unique and precious. The maps of the 5RHYTHMS can be seen as portals to deeper & wider levels of understanding of self others and the world as a whole. In this waves level workshop we will explore the medicine of each Rhythm and how it can be of service to us no matter where we are on our journey in life.
If we let the dance dance us & helps us strip off our identities, labels, preconceived ideas, what would we find on the other side ? Who could we be beyond those labels, titles, ideas, identities ? Who are you beyond those ?
In older times dance was a medicine and it still is today. The practice of 5Rhythms gives us the possibility to tap into that and experience for ourselves what our ancestors knew & did.
Come move with me & let’s see together what’s on the other side of what we know.
All are welcome. No prior experience of 5Rhythms is required. Come as you are, bring what you are with, let’s hold it and move it together.
Flow Vulk (UK):
I found my feet on a 5Rhythms dance floor in 2014. This is when and where it all magnificently fell apart before falling into place and making sense. There was no more hiding, no more pretence – the backbone of my being, the raw wilderness within was living and breathing again. The All of me was allowed to be, it was pulsing and roaring. From this point on, I knew there was no going back, only going forward.
It is in our bones, blood and breath you see – the beat, the rhythm, the Song of Songs. The Song of Life. Dance it. It is your birthright. This is how we plug back to Source. This is how we wake up. This is how we become alive again. This is how we find answers and resolutions. This is how we commune. Our ancestors did it we can do it too. And truly for me nothing else quite matches it. So let this be an open invitation to shake off the cobwebs, rattle those bones, let that breath flow and let these feet find their beat. Let Life In.
We dance not to forget but to Remember, not to get lost but to find ourselves, not to disappear but to Arise in our full authentic glory. We dance to become Alive again and this, this takes Courage, Conviction and a touch of madness.
