Led by Rev. Simon Ruth de Voil, the retreat blends Celtic music and traditions with creative workshops, nature and prayer to deepen participants’ connections with the divine. Surrounded by lilting spring birdsong and the gently lapping waters of Kanuga Lake, participants are encouraged to listen for the voice of the divine in the beauty of the natural world in three days of guided workshops and events.
The retreat begins on Friday, March 20 with a Spring Equinox Concert on the outdoor labyrinth at 7 p.m. (weather permitting).
Each day of the retreat includes a blend of wisdom teachings, morning and afternoon sessions of contemplative practices including song, chanting, and silence, and ample personal time for reflection, rest and exploration. And each day closes with Birdsong Vespers, an inclusive, informal outdoor musical worship service in nature (weather permitting).
